bigwps4bundleWhile $568 is still a ludicrous amount of money to spend on a games console, if you’re in the market for a Playstation 4 right now, have a look at this bundle from Big W.

You get the PS4 console in black or white, as well as physical copies of Mortal Kombat X, The Last Of Us Remastered, Bloodborne, and The Order 1886.

There’s not a shovelware title in sight, and while The Order 1886 didn’t exactly set the world on fire, you’re getting the crowd-pleasing Mortal Kombat X, a universal opportunity to showcase your new PS4 to every person who comes near your television.

You’re also getting PS4’s best game in Bloodborne, and one of Playstation 3’s best games in The Last Of Us.

The Last Of Us becomes one of Playstation 4’s best experiences after you tack the word “Remastered” on to the title, and slightly upgrade the graphics.

I don’t begrudge Sony having a port as one of their machine’s flagship games when the PS4’s controller is so incredible to hold and use.

The DualShock 4 is such an immense improvement on the DualShock 3, you’d go and play your entire PS3 collection again with it, if Sony would just let you.

Anyway, this is a pretty impressive bundle. In fact, it’s probably one of the best I’ve ever seen, even if the general price of the PS4 is still a bit high.

The offer is valid until at least Wednesday May 20.

XboxOne_RGB_horizontal

Big W are offering a pretty sweet Xbox One bundle that includes the console, two Assassin’s Creed games (Unity & Black Flag) as well as Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Halo Master Chief Collection, all on the download.

Not the most interesting selection of games, but Black Flag and Advanced Warfare are definitely worth playing.

And hey, it’s a new 500gb Xbox One for less than $450.

It would usually set you back $50 more, and consider this: EB Games is selling a pre-owned Xbox One with no games for $438.

Not bad for people looking to tickle their trigger fingers with the One’s sick controller.

Have a look at Big W’s bundle here.

mp10picTarget Australia are selling Wii U’s latest opinion divider, Mario Party 10 for $54 until Wednesday April 1.

They’re also selling the Wii U Premium Pack with Mario Kart bundle for $429, but now they’re throwing in two out of these three games: Rabbids Land, Sports Connection and Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth. Well.

Avengers is a fighter featuring and incredible character roster, but the controls suck and only kids and Marvel super fans will find enjoyment in it.

Rabbids Land met very mediocre reviews, and Sports Connection is by all accounts a sub par sports mini game collection, but apparently the golf is pretty good, and you do need a Wii remote with MotionPlus.

Anyone in the market for a Wii U should pick up Mario Kart 8 anyway, so at $429 this bundle is still the way to go.

ps4bundleTarget Australia is offering a 500GB PS4 with Infamous Second Son, Drive Club, and Little Big Planet 3 for $529.

Look, I still think the console is overpriced, but this bundle is a pretty good starter pack for anyone in the market for a PS4.

Infamous Second Son is PS4’s flagship title at this stage, and while LBP 3 reviewed badly, there’s an incredible online community that is worth getting amongst.

The offer ends on March 18, check out the details here.

targetlogoYou know I’m not big on encouraging online game shopping, but according to vooks.net Target is having a sale on it’s eBay store and there’s some bargains to be had on Nintendo hardware and software.

Check out the story on vooks.net here and hurry because they’re reporting it all ends on February 22.

I also just realised it’s time to update my Target logo graphic.

smashlogoIf you’re looking to pick up Smash for 3DS on the cheap, you’re still in luck because Target are selling it for $49 (until Wednesday, October 22) and JB Hi-Fi also have it for $49, apparently it’s regular price.

This is good news for us first party Nintendo fans, because games for 3DS and Wii U seem to be settling into low price points much quicker than they have in the past.

Now if we could just hit that magic $40 price point the Americans enjoy paying for their new release 3DS games…

mostwantedFrom Wednesday July 23, Target Australia are offering Need For Speed Most Wanted U for $29. That’s a pretty good price for this under-rated open world racer.

We were lucky enough to get this much enhanced port before EA abandoned Wii U completely, so you’ll be pleased to know the Wii U version is a ton of fun to play, the graphics are exceptional and the racing action slick, and lightning fast.

Even EA’s own website calls the Wii U version “the definitive” experience.

There’s also a robust online component and while most people are probably playing Mario Kart 8 these days, racing with others is still fun and you can voice chat with straaaa-aaangeerrrs…ooo-ooo-oooh.

If you haven’t played it I recommend picking it up for $29, for sure.

Target is also selling all first party Wii U titles (including Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze) for $57.

There’s also Tomodachi Life and Mario Kart 7 for $43 when the sale starts on Wednesday July 23.

ebgameslogoFirst of all the Wii U LAN adapter for $9. Although the website is currently listing the item as “out of stock”, but I grabbed one at my local store.

I supposedly have Australia’s fastest (non NBN) internet. It’s still not that great over Wi-Fi so the LAN adapter, something I never owned for the original Wii, is great for giving my online Mario Kart 8 game a boost.

It’s a shame the premium Wii U doesn’t have an ethernet port built in, but for $9 it’s an upgrade and it’s worth it.

They’re also advertising the Turtle Beach nLa gaming headset for $15, down from $45. I’ve never used them, but I found a review at canadianonlinegamers.com, for $15 they might just be worth picking up.

jblogoNot only have JB Hi-Fi revamped their website and improved it immensely, but there’s selling a few Wii U games, new, for cheap:

  • Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist for $25
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for $24.98
  • Scribblenauts Unlimited for $27.99

Incidentally, JB also have every announced Wii U game for pre-order at $79, except Watch Dogs at $69, and Just Dance 2015 for $49.
