Rayman Legends Demo: Nintendo is About to Get Served
I was disappointed in New Super Mario Bros. U. I am still playing through it but so far for me it’s mundane, cliched and I feel I’ve played it all before. For me it’s bordering on boring. And the graphics are the biggest disappointment. I can’t believe some major reviews let the graphics off so lightly. Lazy, simple and occasionally ugly 720P is really not good enough in this Nintendo fans eyes. After playing the new Rayman Legends demo over the past couple of days I have realised just how sub par NSMBU’s graphics are- meanwhile Rayman looks incredible. I’m not completely sold on the “help Murphy” level that required you to look at the touch screen. I’m sure there’ll be more of that in the full game, but the rhythm jumping “Black Betty” level was awesome. I’m looking forward to more of that. I’ve read some impressions on the net from people who have played more of the game and most of it is positive. People are calling it innovative and immersive- things NSMBU isn’t. Ubisoft might just show Nintendo how a side scrolling platformer should be done in 2012. I have a feeling Nintendo is about to get served.
